Explain the procedure for handling left luggage.

step 1=the bell captain will ascertain whether the guest has settled his bill hotel with the front office cashier
step 2=the bell captain will inspect the baggage and bring to the notice of guest of pre-existing damaged. he will enter the description of the baggage on the baggage tag and string it to the baggage piece. the sticker has a number with a counter foil with the same number.
step 3=the bell captain will enter the details in the left luggage register. he will mention any pra-damaged comment in the remark colomn. he will also mention the expected date of the delivery in the register.
step 4=he will tear off the counterfoil of the baggage tag and hand it over to the guest
step 5=he will instruct a bell boy to deposit the baggage in the luggage room.
step 6=upon the return of the guests, the bell captain will take the counterfoil from the guest.
step 7=the bell captain wil cross-check it with the left luggage register (it must be remembered that the delivery of the baggage could be done by another bell captain on another shift and is not originally familiar with the the transaction). it is quiet possible that the guest withdraw his/her baggage later or ealier than the expected date in the register.
step 8=the bell captain will assign a bell boy to bring the baggage from the left luggage room to the bell desk insception.
step 9=the bell boy will tally the guest counterfoil member with the baggage tag on the baggage and also confirm the nature of tha baggage mentioned. he will bring the baggage to the the bell desk.
step 10=the bell captain will inspect the baggage with the guest and reconfirm the numbers on the tags.
step 11=the bell captain will enter the date of release in the left luggage register and obtain the guests signature

RECEIPT
step 1 - ascertain if the guest wishing to leave his luggage has paid his hotel bills.
step 2 - string the baggage ticket on each piece of luggage separately.the baggage ticket has a number which is also printed on the counterfoil of ticket.
DELIVERY
step1 - take the counterfoil of the luggage ticket from the guest.
step2 - tally the same with the ticket attached to the luggage in the left luggage area
step3 - enter the date of delivery in the left luggage register
step4 - retain counterfoils and tags of luggage

1. Ascertain if the guest wishing to leave his luggage as paid his hotel bill.
2. Storing package ticket on each piece of luggage separately. The package ticket has the number which is also printed on counter foil of the ticket.
3. Enter details in the left luggage register. Tear of the counter foil of the each ticket and give it over to the guest.
4. Keep the luggage in the left luggage room and ask a bell boy to do it.
